To be honest us finally winning isn't suprising to me at all.
Always knew that this time it could go either way.
Will not dig into any intel but the idea is that the opposition got stagnent while we somehow made meaningful changes, as a community.
There's still no way I would think of the local enl comminity as a good enough community but even just by looking at how the opposition does anything it is clear how the deciding factor is that one side is more prone to being stubborn pieces of garbage compared to the other.
It is very true that both sides has a ton of people who are hyperfixated on the way they play the game, sometimes without regards to the community itself, but the amount of people who does the opposite in either side is a deciding factor to who wins in the long run.
Reminds me of the global Resistance motto (and site name), will be blue, Hong Kong Will Be Blue, xyz Will Be Blue, it's like you don't actually think you're blue, but you still want to think that you are going to be blue. Basically two outcomes may happen, one is to make it so that the place will indeed be painted blue because you know that you can do better, the other is to hold on to the status quo where they try to pretend that it will be blue, but all that they do is to pretend, so what ended up happening is that if it works it works and if it doesn't work the pretend play shatters. Like here it doesn't matter gow good they are at pretending because if they are good at it (which some of them actually are) they are the minority and if they aren't good at it it simply breaks their entire world view.
tldr; they dugged their own grave and happened to make it so that they managed to make their own perspective clouded enough to the point where if even just 5% of them stopped doing so they would have easily swung it back to their favour
